MILESTONES

Seven years before India attained independence from the British Empire, Mr. A. N. Ahuja envisioned an independent idea of an Indian Public Address Manufacturer. The journey which started in 1940, has been fruitful one. One that has with-stood the test of times. Here’s a snapshot of the Ahuja’s oddesy over the last 7 decades:

1940

Ahuja Radios is born. Commences business as Sound Contractors under the entrepreneurship of Mr. A. N. Ahuja.

1942

Production of Public Address Equipment begins.

1952

Ahuja’s first strides in the Global Markets – Exports to Burma.

1958

Factory No. 3 at Okhla Industrial Estate measuring 36,000 square feet was operational.

1970

Second Factory at 215, Okhla Industrial Estate measuring 52,000 square feet was inagurated.

1973

Gaining Grounds in Europe – Ahuja products entered Switzerland, West Germany, UK, Netherlands & Australia.

1976

Quality & Reliability Recognised – R & D wing is recognised by the Department of Science & Technology, Govt. of India, another first to its credit.

1984

New factory under Trusound Pvt. Ltd. (Ahuja Group Company) was established encompassing an area of 30,000 sq. feets.

1985

UL&CSA : First Indian Company in Audio Electronics to get approval of UL & CSA, for exports to USA & Canada.

1988

Constant Upgradation – Computerised test facilities added.

1992

OEM activities for some of the leading global Public Address brands gained momentum.

1992

The year witnessed another important event – our P.A. Equipment was installed in the Lok Sabha.

1994

Recognised Export House status granted by (DGFT) Ministry of Commerce, Govt. of India.

2001-02

Efforts Recognised – Awarded highest exporter award in India in the field of Consumer Electronics. This leadership position still Continues.

2005

Ahuja crosses 2 million unit sales mark of amplifiers.

2011

• Ahuja sound equipment installed at India first & only F1 race track at Greater Noida.
• Latest factory of Ahuja Radios was inaugurated spreading across 1,20,000 square feet.

2013

Ahuja amplifiers & speakers installed for public address at MAHA KUMBH MELA, Allahabad. 4800 Ahuja speakers spanning 58 sq. km. area worked virtually trouble-free for 55 consecutive days.
